2020 NAEA National Convention registration includes access to hundreds of concurrent sessions, the Exhibit Hall, and more. Some special sessions, workshops, and events require the additional purchase of a ticket and are available in limited quantities.

NAEA National Convention, Preconvention Workshops, and Professional Learning Registration Policies


Registrants for the NAEA National Convention, summer programs, preconvention workshops, and face-to-face professional learning opportunities must be 18 years of age or older to attend, unless otherwise noted. 


Consent to Use Video or Photographic Images and Share Information

In today’s multi-media world, images that reflect the experiences of participants in NAEA events help communicate our mission and vision with the world. Your registration and attendance, and/or participation in NAEA meetings, conventions, workshops, and other face-to-face learning activities, constitute permission for NAEA to use and distribute a registrant’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, websites, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of NAEA events and activities. If you have any questions about our policy, please send an email to  

Registration Terms and Payment Types

Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis only. 

Registration for an NAEA event does not include hotel, travel, activities, or meals other than those specified in the event details, nor does it include registration for any preconvention workshops or ticketed events which require separate registration and payment. Check the registration information for any additional fees. 

Can’t Attend?

If you are unable to attend this event, contact NAEA by emailing or by calling 800-299-8321. Refund policies are specific to program type, location, and duration. If you cancel on or before February 20, 2020, you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee. After February 20, 2020, no refunds will be issued. NAEA is unable to refund registration or ticket fees due to inclement weather.

Program Cancellation

NAEA reserves the right to cancel events because of low registration or in the case of a catastrophic occurrence due to a force majeure. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, registrants will be notified and will receive full refunds. 


Special Services

Please notify NAEA at the time of your registration if you need a sign language interpreter or other special assistance. NAEA must be notified in writing at least 14 calendar days prior to the event.
